Wyoming Seasons

One of the things I loved about Wyoming when I moved here was the cold. I came up from Texas in November of 2001, and two days after I arrived it snowed. I was in love! The snow, the cold, the wind that roars down my street like an ocean…all of these made my heart sing.

No mistake, they still do!

Ah, but spring and summer in Wyoming – they are glorious. The nights are still chill enough through June – and sometimes July! – to keep a blanket on your bed, but the days are warm without being sweltering. No heavy humidity to drape layers of sweat on you that cling like damp plastic wrap. Just a sky bluer than anything you’ve ever seen, and cooling breezes just when you need them, and high lazy clouds that drift off to the horizon.
